Privacy Policy

Last updated: today

This policy explains how Washbio (the "Studio", "we", "us") handles personal information when you visit our website, send us a message through the contact form, sign up for a program, or visit our physical studio at 740 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095. We have written it in plain language because the same clarity we aim for in our practices should apply to the small print.

1. What information we collect

We only collect the information we genuinely need in order to reply to you or to deliver a program you have chosen. Specifically:

  • Contact form data: the name, email address and message you choose to send us, plus the consent checkbox.
  • Program enrolment data: billing name, email address and the program selected.
  • Technical data: standard server logs such as IP address, browser type, referring page and timestamps, used for security and basic analytics.
  • Cookie preferences: a small local-storage flag confirming that you have seen the cookie notice.

2. How we use your information

Information is used for narrow, predictable purposes:

  1. To respond to messages you send us by hand.
  2. To deliver the program you registered for and to send you the optional reminders linked to it.
  3. To keep our site secure, prevent abuse and produce aggregated, anonymous usage statistics.
  4. To meet our legal and accounting obligations under United States law.

We do not sell or rent personal information. We do not build advertising profiles about you. We do not enrich your record with data purchased from third parties.

3. Legal basis

Where applicable, we rely on your explicit consent (the checkbox on the contact form), on the performance of the agreement linked to a program you have purchased, and on our legitimate interest in running a secure, well-maintained website. You can withdraw consent at any time by writing to us.

4. How long we keep information

Contact messages are kept for up to twenty-four months unless a longer period is required for a current conversation. Enrolment and billing records are kept for the time required by applicable accounting rules, typically up to seven years. Server logs are rotated within ninety days.

5. Who can see your information

Within the Studio, only the small handful of staff who help with replies, scheduling and billing have access to your records, and only when needed for a specific task. We use a small number of trusted service providers for hosting, transactional email delivery and payment processing; each is bound by contract to use your data only for the agreed purpose.

6. International transfers

Our hosting and email infrastructure is located in the United States. If you contact us from outside the United States, your information will be transferred to and processed in the United States under appropriate safeguards.

7. Your choices

You may at any time ask us to:

  • Confirm what information we hold about you.
  • Correct anything that is inaccurate or outdated.
  • Delete your record, except where we are required to keep it for legal reasons.
  • Export your record in a portable format.
  • Stop sending optional reminders.

Send a short note via the contacts page and we will reply within ten working days.

8. Security

We use HTTPS across the entire site, restrict internal access on a need-to-know basis, keep our software up to date, and never display payment details directly on our infrastructure. No method of digital storage is perfect, but we take reasonable care.

9. Children

Our services are designed for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under sixteen years old. If you believe a child has sent us information, please contact us so we can remove it.

10. Updates to this policy

If we make a meaningful change to this policy, we will publish the updated text on this page and refresh the "last updated" date above. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised version.

11. Contact

Questions about privacy can be sent through the form on our contacts page, by phone at +1 310-206-7503, or by post to 740 Westwood Plaza, Los Angeles, CA 90095.
